While much of the charm of staying at Casa Buena Vista comes from the sheer calm and tranquillity of the area, there remains much to discover in the immediate surroundings as well as slightly further afield. Whether you want to conquer the great outdoors, see the sights of truly historical monuments or simply explore what the area offers to keep the kids entertained, there is something for you.
To help you make the most of your stay, let us know your areas of particular interest at the time of booking- best beaches, best castles, local walks, entertainment for the children for example - and we will have as much information as possible for you on arrival. We can also advise on local Fiestas and events taking place during your time at Casa Buena Vista.
Look at our facebook page for recent photos of visits to the Cabo de Gata, absolutely stunning, visit the Gold Mine, or take the Pirate route, lots of Walking, Cycling or Driving routes. Plenty of beachside restaurants, for those who want a romantic meal by the sea.
In the summer time, there are numerous outdoor pools with catering facilities, which can be enjoyed for only 3 euros per day.
There are local Fiestas to visit and enjoy the local Spanish customs, information will be available on arrival.
The local town of Huercal Overa has open air free entertainment at certain times of the year, and also has a beautiful Theatre, a programme will be available for you.
There are 4 Golf courses within a half an hours drive,the prices for a round in 2011 are about 40 euros for the after 2pm session.
Motor Bikes are welcome, fantastic riding around the area, secure off road parking is always available.
Cyclists, lots of interesting places to ride, routes can be planned for you depending on the distance you want to ride each day, your bikes will be safe here.
For those of you who want a winter break, watch the local Olives being pressed between November and February, opposite La Casa Buena Vista is a traditional Olive Press, buy your Olive Oil to take home with you, no additives.
